Auditory Brainstem Response

The Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) test assesses how the patient is hearing by measuring responses (through electrodes) elicited by the brain from the presentation of brief clicks by the use of an insert earphone in the patient’s ear. This is an important test that can help determine if there is a tumor or other abnormalities of your hearing mechanisms. It is also used to determine hearing loss in individual’s that are not able to perform the comprehensive hearing evaluation.
